Challenge Yourself on the Leisure "County Dublin Cycling Experience" was created by Valerie Plant
A key element of this challenge is that the routes must be within your county of residence, or within 20km of your home.
Complete a series of 4 routes:
50kms
100kms
150kms
200kms
Create your own, or if in Dublin use the sample routes provided below:
Ride your first route before the end of June, and complete the series before the end of August.
Let us know how you got on. On the journey, post on the Forum about experience(s), for example, stories, bike computer file or photos.
Please observe Government Covid guidelines.

A few of us managed a 100km "County Cycling Experience" yesterday, Here's our story....
A conversation with Stephen, men’s racing rep.
the sharpness of Valerie’s eye, PBP audaxer
and the determination of Andrew, also a PBP audax
Led to a discovery today.
With the county boundary. and even the 20km limits many of the Orwell Wheeler cyclists' favourite coffee stops are still off limits. But there many new places to be discovered on the Northside of the County.
The ‘Crawl to the Naul’ was a favourite internal sportive for many years. However, some felt the crossing through Swords was a bit dangerous. Also, going a bit further North was difficult because of the twin roundabouts where the R132 intersects with the M1.
However, today we discovered that it is possible to cycle/walk on the far side of the Malahide estuary giving to access to the Donabate/Portrane and beyond.
And on our return journey on the R132 Valerie spotted an underpass, actually there are 2, which avoids crossing the roundabouts.
This now opens up a whole new world of safer cycling on the Northside, we feel.
