In a parallel universe somewhere, a group of Orwell and friends are preparing to go to Calpe this weekend for 10 days of cycling and coffee stops over sunny mountain roads.
In our own universe, we stay at home and dream of Calpe 2022. The long climbs up the Tudons and Castel de Castells, the peaceful climb up through the vineyards and down to Lliburn. Coffees and lunches at the Jamaica Inn in Denia, or under the palm trees on the seafront in Javea, or overlooking the beach in Moraira.
The planning starts now for 2022. We will be back.
