Training Camp - March 17th -24th - Girona 2018

Hi guys,

Each year a number of Orwell groups travel to different locations for winter training. Last year we had a group travel to Girona with Neenan travel (tour operator) and Eat Sleep Cycle (local guides)
This year, Ciara Ni Fhlathartaigh has done some research on pricing options and compared a number of package options from different providers. The attached PDF is the best available package, all things considered.

We are looking to guage interest in who would like to attend. Primarily the Girona winter camps are designed for Orange/A4 pace and above but if there are enough Yellow riders we can put a group together. Please comment below with your interest.

THE PACKAGE

• 7 night package €815 per person with 5 guided rides
  €765 per person with 3 guided rides
  Other duration prices can be provided on request VAT and Tourist Taxes included
  Note: There will be a few riders doing a 4day/5 night option so we will follow up with pricing for that

PACKAGE PRICE INCLUDES

• Return flights – Dublin-Barcelona-Dublin (see note below)
  Airport Transfers
  7 night stay at Hotel Peninsular, Girona
  Based on sharing twin/double rooms
  Bed & breakfast
  Escorted rides for 3 or 5 days as indicated, 2 groups with a local ride captains

Note about flights

• Flights based on current prices with Aer Lingus to Barcelona, travelling Saturday 17th to Saturday 24th March 2018
  Package price may change depending on flight price at time of booking

• Bike hire: €135: BMC Teammachine - Carbon (6-day hire)
  Van support on rides: Per person - €78 for 5 days / €47 for 3 days
  Single room: add €294 per week
  Travel Insurance: €25
  Checked bag on flights: 15kg €70 / 20kg €80 (return)
  Bike on flights: €100 (return)
