All club members are invited to virtually attend the 2020 Annual General Meeting taking place on line on Thursday 29th October.

Details of the Agenda and the AGM documents will also be emailed to members.

Pleased to say currently we have 14 club members going forward for re-election to the committee.

We are hoping for more members might consider putting their names forward.
Specifically we are seeking members to fill the roles of :-

PRO Racing, League Rep and Social Rep

Would love to hear from any interested members wishing to put their names forward.

Hi George

Rather than seeking to maintain the size of the committee at 19 roles (per contacts page), might you use the opportunity created by the vacancies to gently re-align it towards that envisaged by the clubs Constitution ?

As you know the Constitution provides for 5 designated positions + at least 2 ordinary members , so a minimum of 7 with no maximum. Currently with 14 putting themselves up for re-election you would appear to be well committee'd up.

Given that only a relatively small %age of members are prepared to go on the committee , I'm thinking you would be better off using those people sparingly and getting more from them in the long run.

Hi George,

For the AGM Webinar, can you ensure that when you create the meeting, or when people join the meeting, that everyone's microphones are set to Muted by default.
It'll be super annoying and most people with hot mics will not realise that it's their mic that's picking up noise.

Also, if it's something like Zoom, can everyone not have their video on, as the bandwidth requirements will be mental and Zoom will constantly freeze.

By default the Webinars are recorded - we can look to see if that can be disabled if it is a concern to people.

However as we are running a webinar we can't control somebody placing a phone in front the screen and recording it themselves and we having no access to the recording so by recording we would have an official record of it.

There was an error in the pack that was sent out last night - some committee reps were incorrectly given the wrong position and a motion was missing from the pack.

Once the issue was identified a mail was sent out to members - however due to Gmail restrictions on the number of mails an account is allowed to send not all mails went out - we are currently working on identifying the mails that were not sent - these will be re-sent using another gmail account.

Apologies for the confusion.
