The 2017 Orwell Track Champs will be held on Sunday 17th September.
First rider off at 10am.
Rental bikes available on the day.
Track Accreditation is essential. The last accreditation session is on Sunday August 19th.
If any rider completes that and the SQT on the following Monday, you will be eligible to ride.
Provisional format;
Flying Lap
Elimination
Scratch/Tempo
Kilo
Points Race
Register here for the event.
This is primarily a fun family day with the emphasis on participation and some serious racing thrown in for good measure. We're the only Club in the country who runs a Track Champs so lets make it a big success!

Thanks for setting it up Eddie! You can put my name down for this.
I'd vote for the Scratch race instead of tempo (purely personal preference).
Just to clarify, is it going to be a full flying lap or a flying 200m like last year?

Thanks Eddie and Jen for organising this, very much appreciated, it was a great day out at the track. Jen, those brownies are the stuff of legends! Need to get that icing recipe off you :)
Also, thanks to all the helpers today (Charlotte, BrianMc and Laila) and John for overseeing the races.

Well done to all the riders, it was great to see the turnout from the youth alongside the seniors. Well done to Eddie for promoting the day, and as Valdis says to Jen, John, Charlottle, Laila and associated other helpers. And to Jen again for the sandwiches and cakes!
From memory, the events today were:
Most of the events were split into youth and seniors, resulting in the following standings:
For the youths, the top place came down to the wire - the sprint placing in the points race, with Ronan taking 2nd there ahead of Caoimhe in 3rd to take the overall.
Valdis was dominant for most of the morning, but there was a turnover on the next step on the podium when Daniel took a couple of sprints and the win in the Points race to jump from 4th to 2nd and knock Fionn down a spot and Freddie off.
From memory, the events today were:
- Flying lap
- Scratch race
- Elimination race
- Flying Kilo
- Points race
Most of the events were split into youth and seniors, resulting in the following standings:

Caoimhe | 24 | 2nd |
Andrew | 22 | 3rd |
