CL 2018 R21: Golden Ball

Last round of the league! Brian McNally has it all wrapped up at the top, but there's still some minor placings to be decided: Eoins Ahern and Byrne are fighting it out for the final podium step! They're tied at the moment but if neither place next week, Byrne's win in the Pine Forest TT will get him bronze.

Sign-on
At Golden Ball pub , between Stepaside and Kiltiernan (junction with Glenamuck Road). Closes at 18.50, roll out at 19.00.

A neutralised roll-out to Enniskerry - stay right at the filling station fork, and take the first right toward Glencree. Race starts at the 6.6km mark above.

Starts with the drag to Glencree, to the Military Road along the Featherbeds before descending to turn right at the Viewing Point (sharp turn!). Along Cruagh Road to turn right to do the Pine Forest Prologue course in reverse, finishing a few km before Glencullen (finish is likelier to be before the end of the route above).

Marshals
As always, please arrive at 18.30 to allow organisers to brief you and for you to be able to get to your corner on time. Drive if you can, lead cars are always needed!

A race split to bits, with the next generation of Orwell dominating the podium! Congrats to all the U16s, making Shaun Kelly the first senior placer.

Ronan O'Connor beat Andrew Ryan in a two-up sprint for the win, with Conor Murphy getting the best of Shaun Kelly for 3rd.

Eoin Ahern also did enough to secure overall bronze with a surge for 6th.
