Leaving the Yellow House at 8.30 on Sunday morning. The route takes inspiration from the Randonee route on Saturday.

Featherbeds, down by Glencree, up the full wall and out by Lough Dan to Laragh for Coffee. Home via the Wicklow Gap and the lakes, back into Dublin via the bottom of butter mountain and Balinascorney.

We will probably split the group in 2 this week with Peadar taking a slightly fizzier orange on route above and I’ll take a slower more miwadi orange up to Shay and back 100-110km all in. Same leave time. I’m not quite at full fitness level so plan on going easy pace that will suit anyone who fancy an easier slightly slower day out.

This Sunday, Bray Wheelers are running the Shay Elliot and ShA3 Races, which come over Glenmalure. So depending on time, perhaps skip stopping in Laragh after immediately coming over Sally Gap.

Thanks Luke. I'm aware of that. Its what gave me the idea for the route.

Realistically given that the race starts at 10am and that the Shay Elliot is towards the end of both races I think we'll be up and down the hills before the race comes through. If it does come through earlier than I expect, we'll have a chance to stop and cheer on anyone from Orwell doing it.

Leaving the yellow house as usual at 8.30. The planned route is a figure of eight. Up Balinsacorney, Butter Mountain, Sally Gap, down towards Roundwood and out to Laragh via Lough Dan. Coffee in Laragh and home via the Sally Gap.

Last week there were two groups. If the numbers are the same the plan is to do the same. A fast orange pace and a slower orange paced group.

Won't be around this week as I'm doing the Mick Byrne 200

There will probably still be a group going from the yellow house at 8.30

The proposed route below is up onto the featherbeds, down the liam horner back up the Sally Gap via Lough Tay and out to Laragh for coffee. Back home via the Sally gap.

Hi all

A lot of the club is away in Tralee this weekend but a few of us are still knocking around.....

Plan for Sunday Mountains Group this week is to meet at 830am Yellow House and we aim to do a handy paced(Miwadi Orange to Tropicana Orange) spin doing a bit of prep work for next week's w200....

We'll head to Cruagh-Sally Gap-Laragh for a quick 15 mins stop. Then onto Shay Elliot-Left to Greenane-up Brown Mountain-up Sliabh Mann-Shay Elliot Laragh for 30mins break and return via Glenmacnass-Sally Gap-Featherbeds home. Not really sure how long this is but prob 120km with 2500+metres and 9 peaks.

All welcome to come along...again light to mid orange pace pace and we'll regroup at the tops of each climb and no one will ever be left behind
