Hi all

There are 30 Orwell members heading to the Etape this year followed by a week of Raid Alps and eventually heading to watch the Tour on the Galibier.

One of our last big training days of of the last 9 months takes place this Saturday July 6th.

As we've done in the past we are doing 1 final 12 Peak Challenge starting and finishing in Laragh. Everyone is welcome whether you are on the Etape trip or not but be warned this is a very very tough day out at a relatively short 112km but a huge 3200+m of climbing.

Route is the following:
8am sharp leaving Laragh-Meeting at 745am.
Shay Elliot-Sliabh Mann-Brown Mountain and turn around.
Sliabh Mann the W200 way, Shay Elliot W200 way, Laragh, Wicklow Gap and Turlough Hill then lunch.
After lunch it's back over Shay-Sliabh-Brown-Sliabh and finishing over Shay before a 99 in Laragh.

Again this is open to all on Saturday but be aware just how tough and long this day will be. I don't expect to see the icecream in Laragh until 3-4pm earliest.

The aim is to get people used to climbing non stop as we head to the 3 hour climbs of the Etape and the Raid after.

All welcome to join us!

Garret

Hi all
last message on this. Meeting at 745am at the Cafe in Laragh for 8am leaving sharp.
Please do not park in front of the cafe in Laragh/this is not our parking and only for cafe customers who are in the cafe. You can't leave your car here all day. Find a spot down the road or anywhere in Laragh but not in front of the cafe.
See you all tomorrow
Garret
