Some results from Round 3 and the Overall Resuts where Annie Roche and Caoimhe May were best of the Scott-Orwell Wheelers.

Annie was 3rd in Stage 3 and finished 3rd overall in the Girls Under 14 section. Annie would have finished 2nd but she stopped to help a rider who had crashed!

Katie Reilly just missed out on the podium finishing 4th overall in the under 14 section. It's a great result for Katie who is still only a first yer under 14.

Caoimhe didn't make the top 3 in the final stage of the under 16 race but had done enough in stage 1 and 2 to finish 2nd overall.

Other notable mentions go to Aine Reilly who finished 5th in the under 12 race despite it also being her first year in this category. And also to Clara Rock who is finding her racing legs after a winter of swimming and finished in a strong bunch today.

In the boys races Oisin May had a great run in the under 12's and was first in the unplaced under 11s in stage 1 and 2. His gutsy riding saw him finish 6th overall in the under 12s after the 3 stages.

Andrew Ryan and Ronan O'Connor were caught up in a crash in the last km today and didn't get to finish. They were well up in the bunch at the time. Hard luck guys, we hope to see you back on your bikes soon!

Our youngest "Roving Reporter", Luca Homes sends us this report from Ras na nOg where he competed in the Under 12 category -

Last Sunday I completed my first ever Ras na nOg. There were 3 stages spread out over 2 days.
Orwell booked a hostel for the night for the team.
The racing itself was great fun with a magnificent atmosphere.
I want to say thanks to Jen and all the parents for making it possible, my team mates in the U12 category and all the team.

Thanks for the report Luca:)

The Ras na nÓg team have joined together to write a report on the weekend's racing. It's a really good read and gives a great insight into what was involved in the event.

Thanks to everyone involved in putting it together and to Gen Sheridan & Áine Reilly for the photos:)
