It has come to the attention of the committee that several of the more vocal members of various groups riding out from the shop on Sunday mornings appear to know everything.
As this was originally understood to be the sole preserve of the committee members themselves it has become a matter of some urgency to test the knowledge of club members forthwith.
Therefore, the first annual Orwell Wheelers Pub Quiz will take place at Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Rosemount, Lower Dundrum on Tuesday 9th March.
The format will be teams of 4-5 people at €40 per table. It will be a general knowledge quiz over a number of rounds for a cash prize and there will be a cycling question at the end of each round for a separate prize.
There will also be a raffle on the night and, of course, Uncle Tom’s staff will make available their full selection of beverages for purchase.
The quiz is primarily a fun night out for club members and funds raised will go to help pay Michelle Geoghegan’s expenses as she embarks on her first full season of international racing.
