Despite missing out on open race action for much of the year due to a recent arrival in the Kirby home, Myles still had the strength after a long chase in the Scratch group to contest the tough finish.
The pace of the Limit group told on many riders and it was a slimmed down version of the one that had started in Brittas that was finally neutralised approaching the bridge on the last of three laps.
The Semi-Scratch group had scorched around the first of three laps and quickly formed a sizeable bunch with the Semi Limit riders towards the end of the first lap. The Scratch then tagged on starting the final tour and the fresh injection of pace sealed the fate of the Limit riders.
Brian Ahern and Shane Baker (IRC) tried their luck out front but were hauled back meaning it was a large group that turned right on Ballysmuttan for the final 200 metres grind to the flag. Paul Dolan (IRC) led home team-mate Sean Bracken to secure top points with Kirby, third. Dylan Rafter, another rider dividing his attention between fatherhood and bike racing showed his class with sixth place on the line.
