orla-worlds-jersey

Orla Hendron’s victory in the points race at the World Masters Championships in Portugal yesterday capped an amazing week of medal hunting for herself and clubmate Aideen Collard.

Hendron, who also won bronze in the Scratch race, retained enough energy at the end of a long, hard week to pip Britain’s Liz Clayton to the rainbow jersey by the narrowest of margins in the 45-49-year-old Points Race.
Her win and a bronze medal for Collard in the 35-39-year-old points race at Anadia made it a total of six medals won by the Orwell duo in the event which has been their main focus this season.
