Dylan Rafter continued his impressive run of form with another great win in round six of the club league at Brittas last Thursday
Rafter led home a group of six to contest the finish at Ballysmuttan after two laps of the Manor Kilbride circuit. In a break with recent practice, more than 100 riders contested the 44km handicap with scratch, semi scratch and semi limit coming together before half way.

The leading limit riders were swept up on the approach to the N81 on the second lap as the race kicked off in earnest.

Rafter edged clear along with clubmates Diarmuid Collins and Odhran Connors, with Sean Bracken (Irish Road Club) and Alan Cody (St Tiernan's) also involved.

In the run to the line Rafter's power made the difference as he pulled clear of Diarmid Collins who produced  the most impressive result of his fledgling cycling career.

Veteran star Sean Bracken held on for third ahead of Cody with Connors fifth and Patrick O'Brien rounding out the points scorers by leading in the next group for sixth.

Rafter now leads the league with Collins third and O'Brien fourth. As well as three of the top four, Orwell riders occupy six of the top ten positions ahead of this weeke's Hillclimb Championships at Ballinascorney.
