  • The Orwell Wheelers Randonnée is back for 2018 and this year it's got a little brother!

    As has become tradition, it's taking place Saturday 5th of May at 09:00, the bank holiday weekend, with start and finish at Lansdown Wesley Rugby Club on Ballycorus Road.

    The time has come again to see if you are up for the challenge of the Orwell Randonnée and to see if you can add your name to the coveted list of successful participants. In keeping with previous years this year promises to be the event not to be missed!

  • Orwell Wheelers ran its hugely successful annual Randonnée on the 5th May, 2012 over a challenging route through the Wicklow Mountains. This event was again in support of the Irish Hospice Foundation and was the perfect warm-up for those taking part in the Wicklow 200 or indeed greater challenges such as the Marmotte/Etape!

  • Coming in at under 2,000 words, this is one of Billy Parker's shorter novellas, but a worthy read nonetheless! He takes us through his multi-faceted Orwell experience of this year's Wicklow 200.   • Saturday last was the occasion of the fourth edition of the Orwell Randonée, truly one of the highlights of the Irish sportive calendar. Once again the sun shone on the select group of riders who'd made the cut, as they battled the wind and the tough course to reach the famous cake-laden foodstop. One rider battled harder than most, going so far as to claim the lanterne rouge for himself: Mr Tom Weymes shares his thoughts from the day below.
