Showing that her form is developing well, Michelle Geoghegan finished safely in the big group in the Women’s Gent Wevelgem on Sunday.
The Orwell rider was classified 64th in a group of 38 riders 2minutes 37 seconds behind solo winner Lizzie Armistead of Great Britain.
Geoghegan is riding with the Belgian Steeds Voraan squad this year as she continues her rehabilitation from leg surgery late last year.
Meanwhile the latest entry in Michelle’s highly entertaining blog details her preparations for last weekend’s event and, among other things, highlights the latest appearance of the Orwell colours in international competition courtesy of her partner and official campervan driver Darren O’Toole.
