The Youth Tour of Scotland is one of Scottish Cycling's flagship stage race events and will take place between 5th-8th April 2019. After a very sucessful and enjoyable first year Scott Orwell Wheelers are delighted to have secured places for a boys and a girls team again this year!

The Youth Tour of Scotland is a residential four-day stage race, taking place in the beautiful Perthshire countryside.  This event welcomes youth teams from across the UK and further afield to compete across four stages, to gain the top position and sought after jerseys in individual, points, king and queen of the mountains, team and Scottish rider competitions.

 

The event will consist of 4 individual stages over 3 days:

Stage 1: Saturday 6th April

Forteviot, Long circuit road race (lap is 6.63KM). Girls: 5 laps (33km). Boys: 9 laps (60km). Riders will not be gridded.

Girls Start Time: 10:15

Boys Start Time: 12:45

 

Stage 2: Sunday 7th April

St David’s, Team time trial (6.9km Circuit) Girls: 1 lap (6.9km). Boys: 1 lap (6.9km). Aero equipment is not permitted, standard helmets must be worn and time trial handlebars are not permitted. The start order will be reverse order of the team classification, with the exception that the team with race leader will start last.

Girls Start Time: 09:15

Boys Start Time: 10:30

 

Stage 3: Sunday 7th April

St David’s, Long circuit road race (lap is 6.9KM). Girls: 5 laps (34.5km). Boys: 9 laps (62km). The leading rider in each classification will be invited to the front row of the grid. All other riders will not be gridded.

Girls Start Time: 12:45

Boys Start Time: 15:00

 

Stage 4: Monday 8th April

Strathallan, Short circuit Kermesse race (lap is 2.55 KM) Girls 10 laps(25.5km). Boys 16 laps(41km). Riders will be gridded with the leading rider in each classification on the front row of the grid followed by the top 20 in GC.

Boys Start Time: 10:45
