The youth riders of Orwell have been ripping it up again, with Daisy O'Shea and Andrew Ryan in action in Bohermeen, Uisneach Sheridan competing in Wexford, and Seán Murnane taking part in another stage race in Kanturk on top of Bohermeen.

Bohermeen was the venue of choice at the end of April, with the youth riders enjoying the advantage of a dry sunny day before the showers hit the seniors later on. Daisy O'Shea was there with full support, taking part in her first ever race! She did the club proud - the first race is always the hardest, and she'll only get better from here.

Andrew Ryan is going from strength to strength at the moment, and he contested the sprint finish at the line. The winner had a bikelength on the rest of the contenders, but the splits between 2nd, 3rd and 4th were tight - less than half a wheel across them all. Ryan timed it well to take a terrific 3rd! Well done to him!

Seán Murnane was in action in the U16 race later on, with a super 2nd in that race. He followed it up with a trip to Kanturk, where some mechanicals scuppered his chances of placing, but his never-say-die attitude earned him great praise and admiration. He took a positive view on the learning experience of the whole weekend, and we know he'll be back to his winning ways soon.

On the same weekend, Uisneach Sheridan was riding strongly in Wexford, where the U14 race finished with him placing 6th! Another great performance from Sheridan for the year!

Congratulations to all our youth riders on their continued success and efforts!
