Another weekend of results for Orwell
Week two of racing got underway on Saturday morning at the Boyne GP, promoted by @droghedawheelers. On a punchy course, Orwell had a great turnout of racers in all categories. Joe-Nathan Matar tried hard all day, but nothing stuck unfortunately.
In the C2 race, we saw the first outing of the year for Fionn Sheridan and Adam McConnell, who both finished well in the bunch.
The C3 race, the largest of the day, saw Luke Keaney finish in 7th position after being very active throughout. Josh Francis and Matt Lynch came home in the bunch, gaining more valuable race experience, with Paul, Darragh, Barry, and Martyn putting in an honest outing.
The star performance of the weekend goes to Evan Keane, who had an early start heading south on Sunday to the National Road Series “Sliabh Luachra Classic.” Evan carried his form from the previous weekend, getting up the road and finishing in 6th place, earning plenty of points in his back pocket.

The last race of the weekend saw Luke Keaney and Sean O’Kane head north to the John Haldane Memorial, hosted by Newry Wheelers. Sean was busy all day trying hard but missed the moves from the C1 riders — plenty of learning to take home. Meanwhile, Luke put in a strong ride in the C3 race, finishing in 6th position.
The action next week moves to the @lucancrc GP and Galway Classic (National Road ).
